Hello, I’m Dottie.

Most people call me Dot though, because its shorter and most people are kind of lazy with names.

Otherwise, you can call me Doro Woro, Dotty Dot, Le Full Stop, 小不点大哥, or any of my many other nicknames. For some reason, I am particularly nickname-friendly.

The strangest thing is, very few people address me by my real name, Dorothy. My father, who insists its a princess’ name, will be very disappointed to know that its so under-utilised.

No. Wait. I think he calls me Dot too.

I guess that’s enough with the names.

You may know me as the co-founder of Fashion Nation. However, I do not work in fashion nor do I write for a living (yet). This may change in the future, or it may not. As they say, we’ll see how it goes. I think I sort of work in fashion now and I definitely write for a living. As they say, this is how it goes from now.

I also write about fashion at D For Dot. You may want to give it a click if you are so inclined.

I’d been having a love affair with words since I was 8. As far as I’m concerned, its still going strong. I think we’re in this for the long haul.

This will explain why I feel an almost constant need to either scribble in my notebook or type away (at supersonic speed) on some keyboard.

Just for the record, I do have a life outside of fashion blogging.

And this is where I write about that life.

I am a Twitter addict. So, I may tweet a lot more than I blog. Be warned though – I can write a lot of random, inane nonsense in under 140 characters. Follow me if that is your kind of thing.

Alternatively, you can write me at storyofadot[at]gmail[dot]com.
