Inspired by this post (which was in turn inspired by this post), I decided to make a list of all the books that I have re-read or look forward to re-reading, even when there are tons of other good reads to devour. And if you take this with the fact that I have an irrational fear of never finishing all the books I want to read, my willingness to take time out to read these books again says quite a lot about how worthy they are.
In no particular order:
- American Gods - Neil Gaiman
- Neverwhere - Neil Gaiman
- The Time Traveler’s Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
- The Night Watch Tetralogy - Sergei Lukyanenko
- The Vampire Chronicles – Anne Rice
- Shantaram - Gregory David Roberts
- Trainspotting – Irvin Welsh
- Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell - Susanna Clarke
- Jitterbug Perfume - Tom Robbins
- The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
- The Phantom Tollbooth – Norton Juster
- The Picture of Dorian Gray – Oscar Wilde
- 1984 - George Orwell
- The Animal Farm – George Orwell
- Harry Potter – J.K Rowling
There are many more that didn’t make the list (including all of Roald Dahl’s stories) because I decided that 15 is a good number to stop at.
